Mayor Lanie Cayetano opened her message to the participants of the Tryk ni Juan launching by saying that “Hello” is more in order rather than “welcome”. She said so because both the Department of Science and Technology and the Korean Embassy are in Taguig City’s area of responsibility.
Witnessing the launch of abaca fiber composite products like the tricyle roofs protecting the drivers, she expressed her elation of having the opportunity to be practicing charity in both of her homes 1) Albay — remembering that in her hometown, abaca fiber production is a major industry 2) Taguig City — supporting the efforts of all abaca fiber researchers, fabricators in her official home.

This year another milestone… as Tryk ni Juan (abaca fiber composite tricycle roofs) is launched by ITDI-DOST and KIMS-ASEAN or the Industrial Technology Development Institute – Department of Science and Technology, Korean Institute for Material Science – Association of Southeast Asian Nations
